Ever found yourself stumped for posing people at weddings and during portrait sessions? When I first started in photography it shocked me that as a confident person I really didn't know how to interact with people I was photographing and I was pretty much at a loss with what to do to direct them to look their best.
So I did the only thing I knew how to do - I created a system. And that system has helped me to unfreeze my brain and create 45-60 unique images to show to my clients in around 30 minutes! This is not flow posing, it's relaxed, natural posing techniques that you can enjoy and your clients can have a bit of fun with.
This workshop shows you how to create a system that works for you, whilst also considering the things that impact on the pose, as well as looking for inspiration to increase your portfolio of poses in your head ready for you to utilise when you are ready to use them. We spend some time practicing with a couple (these are not models, and you will have some time working on your own with the couple so that the images you create are your own images - you cannot use them in competitions or for panel submissions, but you can use them for portfolios to show your clients).

Zoe Richards runs the busy Dovecote Training offering dedicated 1-2-1 and group photographic training sessions from her studio and training venue at the prestigious Knowsley Hall in Merseyside. She has more than 25 years experience of delivering training, with a Masters degree in Learning, and so she can assure you of an exceptional learning experience! Her training is specifically designed for amateur and semi-professional photographers, although some well established and experienced photographers who have 10-20 years experience of working in the profession have attended her workshops and found that they learned a lot.
Zoe is an accomplished award winning photographer, gaining a number of prestigious awards from the BIPP and MPA over the last 3 years and in 2009 she had an exhibition of her work in The Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool. Her next exhibition of her work takes place in Liverpool in May 2010.
This is the kind of workshop that many professional photographers wish they had attended when they first started out on their journey, as they say that it would have made that journey so much easier for them.
